Biography
I have always wanted to perform the music I hear in my head..
Fiona Pears is one of New Zealand's most versatile and accomplished violinists. Based in Christchurch, she has built a career that spans composition, performance, arrangement and teaching — bringing her distinctive sound to concert halls, festivals and recording studios around the world.
Fiona has recorded for the BBC and performed her own orchestral arrangements and compositions with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. She has toured extensively across Asia, the US, the UK and Europe, performing at prestigious concert halls and festivals to audiences worldwide.
With five studio albums to her name, her music blends classical training with an instinct for melody and feeling that crosses genres effortlessly. She has also performed alongside the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, captivating audiences from intimate venues to outdoor festivals in Hagley Park.
